Packaging object
Contents, temperature, contact duration, shelf life, packaging level and target market.
PRODUCT ROUTES / ENGINEERING SELECTION
Plus, Pro and Ultra are selected by packaging object, contents and shelf-life target, paper and coating equipment, failure mode and evidence gate. The three routes currently focus on fiber-based food and beverage packaging; beauty, healthcare and precision-industrial uses establish application-specific structures and validation plans.
SELECTION LOGIC
What is packed, for how long, where failure occurs, how it will be produced and what evidence releases it—these five inputs form the technical solution and map the product route to the real project.
Contents, temperature, contact duration, shelf life, packaging level and target market.
Water uptake, grease staining, inadequate vapor or oxygen barrier, crease cracking or seal failure.
Paper absorption, coating method, coat weight and drying, printing, rewinding, die cutting, folding and heat sealing.
Layered validation of material screening, representative line, finished pack, food contact and target end-of-life route.
ROUTE MAP
A route organizes hypotheses, variables and validation. Paper, coating structure, coat weight, process and finished pack close the final system together.
For common objects such as cups, bowls, cartons and bags, coordinating water and grease resistance, heat-seal forming, line fit and repulping direction.
View the Plus route
For combined requirements such as vapor barrier, oxygen barrier, aroma retention, flex durability or a defined sealing window, validated through multivariable structures and representative lines.
View the Pro route
Treats PHA waterborne coating as a candidate functional layer within a complete multilayer pack, separately validating oxygen, light, sterilization, edge-seal and shelf-life systems.
View the Ultra routeENGINEERING CHAIN
Evidence advances from research question to sample validation, pilot validation or engineering release only after the relevant gate is passed.
Contents, use, failure and compliance boundary.
Paper, primer, functional layer and coat-weight window.
Method conditions, controls and failure records.
Representative line, batches and process stability.
Finished-pack evidence, versioned documents and scope.
BOUNDARIES
These boundaries are recorded at project initiation, maintaining a clear and continuous evidence hierarchy from material attributes to finished-package conclusions.
Plus, Pro and Ultra currently organize food and beverage paper-packaging projects; other uses establish a dedicated structure from contact media, cleanliness, transport environment and regulatory boundaries.
Repulping, industrial composting and home composting each build evidence through their own route. Industrial composting evaluates the finished pack under EN 13432, ASTM D6868 or another applicable specification; home composting follows independent conditions and certification.
Public content is staged across research question, sample validation, pilot validation and engineering release, presenting planned fields, validation frameworks and released data that match the current evidence stage.
