BIOTEN PHA develops bio-based waterborne emulsions around water resistance, grease resistance, heat sealing and production fit in fiber-based packaging. Programs target food-contact suitability, fluorine-free formulation design with no intentionally added PFAS, source reduction, plastics reduction and lower-carbon pathways, with repulping and fiber recovery verified first. Compostability is treated only as a conditional end-of-life route for defined articles. Every conclusion remains tied to the specific paper, coating structure, process, target market and supporting validation.
